Nyx is a 9 month old Mix-Breed in Saint Hedwig, TX, who needs $2,000 for Steroids, Antibiotics & Possibly Removal of Eyes.

My 11 year old daughter and I found Nyx sometime in January when south Texas froze. It had been cold and rainy for days when we found her by the bus stop. We live in county so people dump animals all the time but one look at her and we knew she needed help asap. Her eyes were nearly swollen shut & has a knot on top of her nose and sounds horribly congested. She is so sweet and loving.

Nyx’ first vet visit, Vet said he couldn’t tell exactly how damaged her eyes are but first needed to get her respiratory infection under control so he gave her a steroid anabiotic combo shot & said let’s see how she does. She responded very well and seemed to be doing great but the medicine wore off & that’s another $60/$80 visit & shot. I could not afford that but I did get oral antibiotic $40

Nyx is the sweetest little thing, even though she’s sick she still cuddles does biscuits & even gives little love bits. She is a fighter. She’s had such a ruff start at life yet the sweetest little baby. I don’t want to put her down just cause I don’t have money. She found us for help. I would I though I punished her for being sick.

I have stage 4 liver & kidney disease so I’m unable to work and depend on my SSI & EBT. I knew Nyx needed a vet asap but didn’t have the funds. I applied for CareCredit, scratch, lemonade etc.. but denied by all. I know she going to need continued treatment
