About this campaign

Nyx is an 11 y/o Miniature Schnauzer and my sidekick. I am active duty military so he spends most of his time with me or with my parents who take care of him when I am deployed. He is a sassy and extremely loving little guy. He is super smart and always looks to be the protector, all 21 lbs of him.

Nyx is as recently diagnosed with urinary stones and pancreatitis. There are a few stones that were found near his urethra with the probability of causing a blockage. He is being seen at UC- Davis Sorrento Valley in San Diego, CA. If a blockage were to occur it could become life threatening. Nyx sadly had surgery to remove stones earlier this year in May but stones in his kidneys migrated.

Nyx is gentle, funny, and incredibly affectionate. He’s the kind of dog who checks on you when you’re stressed, follows you from room to room, and then curls up right next to you like he’s on the job. He’s a big talker and ensures that you know when he needs something. He has a huge heart and gives endless love.

Nyx had a cystotomy to remove stones earlier this year in May. His son, Carl went into heart failure in July and fought hard to stay with us but his little heart couldn’t keep up. I am dealing with Carl’s $17k vet bill and now trying to find a way to help Nyx.
