O'Malley is a 2-year-old Tuxedo Cat in Spirit Lake, ID, who needs $1,122 for Surgery for Leg Fracture.

He lives at home with two kids, two dogs, and two loving adults. He is in a caring home. He always has access to food, water, shelter, and wide open arms. He's a bit accident prone as he swallowed a balloon string a year ago and required surgery then as well (that one we were able to pay for). The vet jokes and says he is now on his 3rd life.

O'Malley is a family cat. He is one of those cats that will let the kids carry him around like a rag doll and he likes it. We have had him since day one. He always greets strangers and never shies away from a good snuggle. You will never find him hiding under furniture or running away. He's a sweetheart through and through.

O'Malley is not shy. He's a chatter box. He always meows to let you know what he needs, whether it's food, outside, or just to be pet, he will let you know. He's a love bug! He's always down for a good snuggle and will just about let you pet him forever. His best friend is our Shetland Sheepdog. They could chase lasers all day together.

On July 13th, 2022 O'Malley was doing what he loved best (chasing birds outside). Shortly after, he showed up at our backdoor, mangled and breathing heavily. We rushed him to the vet to find out he had been hit by a car and his joint had slipped and his leg is fractured. Our local vet can't help him, so he needs to see an orthopedic surgeon.

We are unable to apply for the care credit and do not have savings to cover the surgery. The vet is sending him home, but is afraid if we don't do surgery soon he will get an infection and his leg will have to be amputated. We can't do the surgery unless we pay upfront.
