Oakley came into my as a young rescue and has been my constant ever since. He’s a goofy, loving Catahoula mix with endless energy, huge personality, and a deep bond with my two kids. He sleeps under blankets pressed against us every night and follows us room to room like our oversized shadow.

Oakley recently suffered a right CCL tear after suddenly injuring his leg while running. He previously had successful TPLO surgery on his left leg in 2024, so we immediately recognized the signs. He is currently under the care of Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital and urgently needs another TPLO surgery to walk comfortably again.

Oakley is the heart of our home. He’s goofy, emotional, protective, dramatic, and unbelievably loving with my children. Whether he’s squeezed into bed between the kids, riding in the car with his ears flapping, or begging for ice cream with his giant blue eyes, he makes every ordinary moment feel happier.

I’m a single mom working both a full-time job and a part-time job just to keep up with every day expenses, and this surgery came completely unexpectedly. After already covering a previous TPLO surgery, I simply do not have the funds for another $6,000+ emergency procedure.
