About this campaign
I adopted Oakley from a backyard breeder. They posted the listing on craigslist and immediately you could tell the animals in their care were being abused. I went over the same day and adopted Oakley. He became a family dog and watches over me and my kids daily.
Our sweet boy Oakley is in a life-threatening situation. He has been vomiting blood, and the veterinary team believes he has swallowed a foreign object that cannot be seen on X-rays. This object is likely lodged in his gastrointestinal system and cutting into his digestive tract. Without immediate surgery, Oakley’s condition will rapidly worsen and could become fatal.
Oakley is more than a pet—he’s our family. His tail wags, goofy personality, and unconditional love bring joy to every single day. We are desperate to give him the chance to live the happy, healthy life he deserves.
The cost for this emergency procedure is estimated at $7000. Sadly, this is more than we can manage on our own right now, as we have already paid $2600 in the last 2 days to try other options at the vet and we are on a fixed income with 2 young children.
