About this campaign
We adopted Obi in March of 2022 at 11 months old. He was originally Bowie. My husband wanted Obi since he is a Star Wars fan. He is a very sweet boy with an old soul. Obi took 30 minutes to warm up to us but my husband didn’t want to leave without him. He was the first dog we met while looking to adopt.
Obi has had Diarrhea and vomiting that led to many vet visits. In March he had an eye issue that led to us thinking he was having a seizure. Vet told us it wasn’t. In April he kept vomiting, stopped eating his food and peeing inside. Super lethargic. He kept loosing his balance and sway to one side. We took him in and was told he may have a brain lesion. MRI & spinal tap-still waiting for results.
Obi is chill and doesn’t play much. He loves butt and belly rubs. He is obsessed with food and will “Chirp” until you give him a treat. It sounds like a raptor from Jurassic park. He will whine until he gets a place on the couch. If you leave your spot he will take it immediately. He has to be the center of attention. His temperament is amazing. Sniffing is his favorite after food and sleep.
Fixed income. Still paying off debt when my husband was laid off from the factory and medical bills. We’re willing to max out credit cards to save our fur baby. We love him very much and this all happened on his birthday.
