Obsydian is a 7-year-old Medium Hair American Kitty in Fayetteville, NC, who needs $800 for Tail Amputation.

Obsydian was a kitten when I got him, I found him outdoors as a scrawny kitten and has blossomed into the most awesome affectionate kitty I've ever had, he has the cutest demure purr, kind of like a short grunt repeated over & over and he was extremely well behaved for the vet and vet techs. He loves his dog brother and sister and will pat them, when they come to visit him, and they play well!

Obsydian likes to sleep on a kitchen chair and is often found there teasing the dogs to play with him. He knows when I'm depressed and will jump in my lap & purr to get me to pet him, he's a little older but still plays with cat toys and boxes and will do anything for a rub behind the ears, he's a very affectionate kitty. His favorite food is canned salmon and will purr when eating it, I love him!

Obsydian loves playing with my two dogs, will groom them if they sit still for him, they are long haired so I'm sure they appreciate it! He used to be an indoor outdoor kitty, (now he's inside only) but he would try to get in the car with me when he was outside and I was going anywhere, he always wants to be around his person! He has an adept way of sensing mood so he always finds me when needed!

Obsydian got out one night when I was letting the dogs out and must've gotten into a fight with a raccoon or bully cat cause when he came back the next day his tail was broken and split open like a zipper, it's now gotten infected and needs to be removed before sepsis sets in. He also has a skin condition that's affection his ears and neck that's breaking out in sores that bleed, heartbreaking!

I am on disability that is very minimal monthly and am not able to afford the amputation or medication needed. Obsydian is like my emotional support animal and I live alone so he is a vital necessary part of my daily routine, I don't know how I would cope without him!
