Odysseus is a 1-year-old Cane Corso in Rapid City, SD, who needs $700 for exploratory surgery.

Odysseus was brought home to us by my dad Wambli. My dad ended up passing away in May of this year (2021) and that left me with a choice to either keep Ody in our lives or to give him to a different family. Of course I couldn't let go of him and neither could my two little girls. We are still adjusting to Ody being in our lives but would not trade anything in the world for him.

Ody is extremely playful! He loves playing with stuff animals and his 4 year old "sister". He is very nosey and very curious about everything. With Ody being so big he tends to eat about anything he can swallow. Including socks, small toys , toilet paper, just about anything you can think of. He is a huge baby at heart and I don't see that ever changing . He enjoys sharing popcorn and watermelon.

Ody is super clumsy and he gets distracted very easily. One of our favorite things to do while all of us are hanging out together in the living room is watching him play with our 4 and 2 year old daughters. He is the sweetest and most sensitive big bear you could meet. He will run laps around the house in seconds. He loves playing tag and doesn't mind doing a few tricks for some treats.

Mon. morning Ody was doing fine then later that evening we came home and noticed that he didn't touch his food or water. After giving him a little bit of cheese he threw it up. I waited about two day until I took him into Cook Vet Clinic in Rapid City SD. They did two different X-Rays an found out that he ate a type of cloth and that it is now stuck in him. He is unable to pass it or puke it up.

After losing my dad in May my daughter grew extremely close to Ody and the thought of losing Ody destroys us. Odysseus is not just a family pet he is family member to all of us. He is loved unconditionally he is thought about every second and treated with nothing but love.
