About this campaign

Olga was a rescue from a group in San Antonio, Texas. When we got her, she had a mangled leg and a badly cropped tail. Today, she is a happy, although not well puppy, in College Station, Texas.

Olga loves humans and she is affectionate and playful. She always wants to be near her humans, and she loves to get in the middle of hugs. She is always excited to see me, even when I know her pain is overwhelming.

She is patient, attentive, and silly. She loves to show us all of her toys. She never helps with pickup. Especially during the isolation of the Covid pandemic, she became my best friend.

Olga was likely hit by a car when she was young. When we got her, at approximately 10 months, her leg had healed, but askance from where it should've been. This caused her to limp a bit. A friend recommended an excellent veterinary surgeon, and he installed an artificial hip. The surgery was successful, she ran like a normal dog for about a year, but the implant became infected.

Due to infection, the ball of the implant was removed. I took a loan to pay for this and many diagnostic procedures. I have not yet paid those off. I am now confronted with $3k-$6k to remove the cup, possible amputation. I love this dog and I want her to walk without pain.
