Olive is a 4-year-old French Bulldog in Encinitas , CA, who needs $1,600 for MRI, Spinal Tap, and Miscellaneous Blood Work.

I rescued Olive on easter Sunday 2022 her owner's friend had left her in a crate for 8 months (.olive had only been retrieved 3 days prior to my adopting her).She found her covered in her own feces, emaciated only 9 lb s. She had taken her to the vet she was healthy just on the small side .the t shirt she wore covered the gross neglect and abuse this animal had endured . Once home she collapsed

Olive's life has become the focus of my life. She needs an extremely high level of vigilant care around the clock.. Only 3 weeks ago she had temp paralysis and could not walk after extensive testing for a liver shunt. She has to be fed with a syringe several times a day to make sure she is hydrated and getting enough calories .I never leave her alone due to her seizures. She's my baby bulldog

Olive is the most extraordinary little creature that has blossomed despite her illness. When I brought her home she had been locked in a crate for 8 months neglected and starved. She cringed to be touched and .made no eye contact. Today she is my everything, my baby. She knows when a seizure is coming she will seek me out to hold her to comfort her .In turn she comforts me.

Her Assessment indicates meningoencephalitis(immune-mediated v/s infectious), metabolic, and neoplasia She is under the care of Neurologist Dr, Gorgi @ Brightcare veterinary Group. She cannot sustain the seizures she continues to have daily side effects of prolonged use of steroids and antibiotics. The estimate to begin her diagnostics is 3700 not including medication. I have only had Olive for 3 months by the end of May, I had spent almost $4000 on Er visits, special Frenchie vets extensive supplements, and vitamins, to help her gain weight. These costs all hit me with a month and a half of her adoption insurance was not an option
