We adopted our dog Olive during the pandemic. She has been the light on our family even on the darkest days. We live in midcoast Maine where she has been included in as many family activities as possible. She is the sweetest dog that bring loves and joy to anyone she meets. We have spent over $13,000 already in our own funds but we are running out of resources to help her.

Olive has been a healthy dog with no medical issues until last Sunday when she became suddenly ill out of the blue. She has a kidney and liver infection that caused her to be hospitalized for the last week, and is now fighting for her life. She has a kidney stone and and an inflamed gallbladder that is painful. She is responding to medications but we are running out of money.

Olive is an unofficial therapy dog for our family. She brings join and peace when you need it most. Her favorite thing to do is to sit next to (leaning on you) or jump in your lap to let you that she is there and help you forget about what may be bothering you. She is very special to us, more than just a dog, she is family.
