About this campaign
Saving Hope Animal Rescue
Omi is a 1-year-old kitty who was part of a feral colony. She was intended to be part of a TNR project, but proved to be very friendly, so she was taken into Saving Hope Animal Rescue. She was with a foster, when they started to notice some lameness in her front left leg around mid-September.
Omi has been going downhill ever since, and now is in severe pain and has a chronic fever. She is lethargic and barely wants to eat. She has been back and forth from the vet, receiving multiple x-rays, thorough bloodwork, and antibiotics. She is not responding to any medical treatment, which is breaking our hearts. We are exhausting all options for our sweet Omi.
The next step is to aspirate the bone to get a sample of the bacteria in order to find out how to treat her. Her condition is life-threatening and causing too much suffering. The estimate is $2,200 for everything she needs. She will need to stay at the vet for multiple nights for more testing and observation. There is a potential she will need surgery depending on what the testing tells us.
Poor Omi deserves answers, and we are determined to give that to her, but Saving Hope needs your help. Your donation can help support her health journey, so she can finally be pain free and live a long happy life. Please consider donating today.
