Onyx Jade, born on 2/14/2016, came into my life about 6 weeks after she was born. She was a little terror when she was a kitten and has slowed down a lot since then. She loves cuddling with my oldest cat Bubba Ann, they’re both grey and love each other a lot.

About 5-6 years ago Onyx had a polyp removed from her left ear and has had significant drainage on and off since then. In December she had an operation to remove a large growth from that same ear. It never healed properly and we have consequently found out that the surgery was botched. Both of her ear canals in that ear are mostly closed and there is more infected tissue trying to grow out of it.

Baby O (as she is nicknamed) gets along with all her fur siblings and doesn’t meow much, she “peeps”. It’s the cutest thing and when she peeps a lot you know something is wrong. She’s extremely affectionate and loves playing with any and all toys and snuggling on her mamas shoulder. Zoomies are her favorite and she loves temptations treats.

Onyx had a CT scan and we found that she will need extensive surgery on that ear to make it functional again and debride the necrotic and infected tissue. I’m a single lady with several cats and only one income. She is not the only cat with medical needs in my house.
