Meow, I'm Onyx. I was adopted about six months ago from the Humane Society along with my brother Orion. Prior to the Humane Society we were found by a good Samaritan who brought us in. I had not been around people and was very timid and scared and lost a lot of weight (don't worry my parents have fed me well since that time).

I live with my brother Orion and our parents. I used to be very shy and timid but over time I have gained confidence and am helping my brother do the same. My favorite activities include snuggling with my brother, love biting my parent's feet, and engaging in mischievous/playful behavior with my brother during the night so my parents don't get much sleep. I am also a "foodie."

I have a special meow that my mom calls a "chortle." I also have a special meow to call for my brother when I miss him. I am also very resilient and have overcome many barriers even at the age of 6 months old. I know I will heal from this injury and can't wait to snuggle with my brother and parents again.

I decided to climb the wall and I took a tumble which left me with a broken hip. The vet said I need to have surgery and that's scary. I know it will help me feel better and everyone will take good care of me. I also developed ring worm right after arriving at my new home at the age of 3 months old. As you can see I have been through a lot in my short life time.

Onyx has endured a lot. Ring worm after adoption and now needs surgery. We adopted these kitties knowing vet bills are to be expected, but this vet bill gave us shock. We have already paid 1000 toward his surgery. Total costs are 3000. Trying creative ways to help him.
