Onyx joined our family, (2 teens) a few months after my mom passed away four years ago. A good friend of mine purchased him for me as a companion and support. I chose the name Onyx because that was the name I gave to a friend's dog in college who I adored and because he is black and white.

Onyx is calculating, quarky, picky and goofy. He loves people watching outside but wary when people are in the home. He loves watching tv. If he hears the Game of Thrones intro, he will run to the TV. He has his own space and gone through countless beds, which he has either torn up or relieved himself on. We are now down to him sleeping on one of my blankets wherever I fall asleep.

Onyx is not interested in most toys and treats but loves a purple toy can and one kind of Pedigree treat. At any given time, you will catch him staring at me which is word when I wake up in the middle of the night. Makes my daughter jealous.When he does not get his way, he does this grunting/mubbling thing. He goes crazy when a plastic bag is blowing outside and will wiz on one if in house.

Onyx gas a huge cut on his leg that needs attention but I can not pay for the cost right now. He still is happy. He has been seen by Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in Hamden, CT. They were extremely helpful.

Onyx shouldnt have to suffer because I do can't afford care right now. Our home is in jeopardy with many expenditures associated. My car was repossessed and I paid more than I had to get it back which I need to attend my work visits. It's hard for gas.
