Hi we are the Shaffer's. Lisa, Robert, and Onyx. Thanks for taking a few minutes to get to know us. We are a long-term family but sadly I say with a very heavy heart that we are three members left of the five. We started our family over a decade ago when we rescued Ginger. A couple years later we then rescued onyx and shortly thereafter was Anubis. We've sadly lost Ginger and Anubis to cancer.

The 3 of us miss them so badly and still grieve them. Still we've been so blessed for having them and Onyx and even forever wouldn't be long enough. So having Onyx fall so ill so fast has our hearts in pieces. We're all we have left and treasure each other and every moment. I spent 3 months in the hospital this year on and off life support and that alone put us so far behind and took it's toll.

I hate making our family sound like a sob story but asking for help is tough and without some details folks may not consider us and our baby deserves my best efforts and then some. She has a great life but she's suffered great loss twice and even thought she'd lost mom when I didn't come home for 3 mths. She's our luv bug and our drama queen, she puts on a show if I dare say the word booboo to her

Onyx has lost control of her back right leg. She doesn't appear to be in pain yet but she drags it and falls continuously when it buckles. She's become almost lethargic. She won't hardly eat unless she's fed by hand and even then it's very little. Sweet baby barely even comes out from under the blanket, I have to go and pick her up to get her to go out to potty. I'm so scared but need to know.

We're gonna be trying to catch up and get back to some normal in our house for some time yet and it's been hard but would be unbearable without our OnyBonnie. She's deserve every advantage available. Thank you for giving us your time and plz keep her in your thoughts.
