This is our beloved first cat, Ooju, whom we adopted as a kitten four years ago. He is a Maine Coon mix who lives comfortably in a condo with us. He has stayed with us through the ups and downs of my college years and has lived a really good life with our other cat, Daldal.

Ooju was hospitalized at the Veterinary Emergency Group in Pleasant Hill for a urinary blockage. He had trouble urinating, and his bladder had a sludge backup that had to be cleared with a catheter. He was hospitalized for two nights before being released with medication and is currently on a special diet.

Ooju definitely has a personality. He's a voracious eater (even today!). He loves to cuddle with us in bed, especially when we're going through tough times. He's extremely photogenic and loves attention, even when he pretends not to. He loves chin rubs and giving us warmth when we need emotional support. With Daldal, they're a playful pair who love to pounce on each other and play like siblings.

This was, unfortunately, a sudden and major expense that significantly impacted our finances. I am currently transitioning in my career, and my new job doesn't start until later this year. Ooju is a beloved member of our family that we hope will be at his best soon.
