My name is Julio, I am an Afghanistan combat veteran and now a law enforcement officer located in the Middle Tennessee/ Nashville area. Recently during this past holiday season I purchased a puppy for my 9 moth old child in hopes I would be getting her a friend and proctor as she grows. The pup that I purchased is and Olde English Bulldogge (whiched we named Opha-Mae).

Opha-Mae loves to play with her new hooman sister and get into trouble. She loves to cuddle and relax. She’s an absolute sweetheart , we pray that she can continue to grow with us. Her ability to comfort you and cuddle you can warm any heart especially when needed during this past year (2020). She gets along with all her other family and pet cousins, they play until Opha cannot physically keep up..

The second opinion Doctor said said they would be able to successfully do the surgery as they have done it before. The surgery is completely out of our family budget, as I’m the sole provider for my family after my significant other suffered job loss due to Covid-19.

I was told when purchasing her that she had a heart murmur and that she would likely grow out of it. After countless doctor and specialist visits I was told the puppy had a severe congenital heart disease called a pulmonic stenosis and that she did not fit the billet as a candidate for surgery. I refused to give up on her. I reached out to another specialist for a secondary opinion.

Like many bulldogs Opha-Mae has built her own characteristics. Her ability to comfort you and cuddle you when you seem to be upset, can put a smile on your face and erase all you stressors especially the ones cause by 2020. And of course getting into a little mischief every now and then seems to make our household complete after the sudden passing of our family house cat during the holiday season.
