Hi, my name is Oreo, and I’m asking for help.

On Sunday, I was attacked by two dogs in my neighborhood, and I’ve been in a lot of pain ever since. One of my eyes is infected and leaking pus, and one of my legs hurts so badly that I won’t let anyone touch it. I’ve barely been able to eat or drink, and I still haven’t been able to use the bathroom.

My mom takes very good care of me. She makes sure I’m loved, fed, and cared for every day, and I’ve always been healthy and well looked after. We just never imagined something like this would happen, and emergency vet care wasn’t something we ever thought we’d need to prepare for.

Right now, my mom is doing everything she can, but she’s a single mother caring and providing for 5 of my human siblings. She recently started a new job, but with bills and the holidays, she doesn’t have the money for the emergency care I need.

Without help, the only option left is to put me to sleep, and that scares both of us. I don’t want my life to end because of something that wasn’t anyone’s fault. I still want a chance to heal and go back to the family who loves me so much.
