Oreo is a 2-year-old Mini Aussie in Kansas City, MO, who needs $660 for Surgery.

We adopted Oreo in April of 2020. I had just adopted my kid brother and he moved to be with me from his home town. Oreo quickly became a member of our family and helped my brother adapt to his new house, city, and surroundings. We got Oreo when she was just a puppy and it had been a privilege to watch her grow and we would love to have as many more years with her as possible.

Oreo provides so much love for the entire house. Not only is she protective of my brother, she’s also grown to be his companion. They play, hangout, cuddle, go on walks, and even watch TV together. Oreo os definitely our go to cuddle buddy in the house. She knows if any of us are feeling down and will give love and smiles as needed. Oreo has fueled countless smiles in our household.

Even though Oreo is just shy of 20 pounds she brings endless amounts of joy and love into our household. She has such a personality and she even tries to talk! We’ve all learned what her different barks indicate. She even has her own favorite show! She watches Adventure Time intently than any other show. When she’s scared because of fireworks or thunder Adventure Time on the TV calms her down.

Oreo was struck by a reckless driver and requires surgery/stitches on her back paws. Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is where she has been seen and will likely finish her treatment. Dr. Richards did a wonderful job and was super accommodating with getting Oreo bandaged and properly medicated. However right now we’re only able to keep her comfortable until we can afford the Treatment.

We live paycheck to paycheck. This last check was our rent and utility check. We have to wait until the next check comes in to have the deposit to start treatment for Oreo. Having Oreo treated would mean the world to me and my brother. It’s unbearable seeing family in pain
