About this campaign
Meet a good boy named Oreo. One day, while his owner was taking him for a walk, he was tragically attacked by stray dogs. The owner was a single mom, and unfortunately, didn't have enough money to pay for vetting, so she turned him into the San Antonio animal shelter for help.
He sat there for several days before CAMO Dog Rescue found out about him, and they immediately transported him to Houston for care.
They had not been told the severity of his wounds beforehand, so when he arrived at CAMO's facility, they were shocked at what they saw when removing his bandages. They took immediate action and rushed him to the ER where he had emergency surgery. He had several deep wounds, which were thoracic and abdominal, and one was open to his airway, causing him to struggle to breathe.
No dog should have to endure this amount of pain or suffering. It’s truly unimaginable what Oreo felt over those days. We are elated that he is now in the loving and healing care of CAMO Dog Rescue. However, this amount of treatment comes at no small cost, needing thousands of dollars to cover the cost of surgery and aftercare.
Will you please consider helping this rescue continue to give Oreo the best care he deserves? Thank you for your generosity!
