Oreo is a 10 year old Chihuahua in Murray, UT, who needs $2,000 for Cancer Treatments.

Oreo came into my life at almost 1 with my husband. He rescued her as a puppy from a breeder that thought she was going to die because she wasn’t drinking from her mom. He nursed her back to health and has given her the best life a dog could possibly have. He chose her name because she looks like an Oreo. She has lived with us her entire life and became my husband’s service dog for ptsd around 2.

Our little angel Oreo has soft tissue sarcoma diagnosed on October 9th, 2024. She has had two surgeries to try to remove the cancer but neither time were they able to get clean margins. Her oncologist is at MedVet SLC and thinks the best course of treatment to stop the cancer from spreading more and possibly curing it is radiation. Without it she believes the cancer will come back within a year.

Oreo is a special and sweet little girl. Anytime we take her anywhere everyone just loves on her. Even when we take her to the vet the techs can’t wait to hold her and just rave about how good of a patient she is. She has the cutest smile when she is happy and loves to sit on her hind legs so we gave her the nickname prairie dog. Her favorite treat is a dream bone, she treats it like its her baby.

Oreo has had a tough couple of years and the vet bills this year are adding up quickly. My husband is the only one that works while I stay home to take care of her. She means everything to us and we want to do everything we can to help her live a long happy cancer free life
