About this campaign

Oreo's previous family dropped him off at Animal Control with orders to euthanize him. A caring rescue picked him up and when I met him he was 8 pounds, bald, and could not stand up. I held him in two hands and cried that he was going to die that night. I took him home and 6-months later he is such a good, happy laid-back gentleman! He's so smart, and I have become the love of his life.

Oreo lives with me in my house. I have a back yard and he walks over to me and gives me his "look" when he needs to go outside to do his business. One night he was especially in a hurry to get to the backyard, and thinking he was Superman, he jumped off the small back porch instead of using the stairs. He sprained his leg and immediately started limping.

I thought it was temporary, but it turns out he suffered a Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture. I spent over $350 to get him examined and x-rayed. Now he needs surgery to ever walk again on all four legs and the cost is $3,400.

I can't pay that since I am retired and on a fixed income. My heart is breaking because if I can't get him the help he needs I will need to carry him since he can't walk far. He loves going on walks and sniffing at everything and he can no longer do that. Please help Oreo
