About this campaign
Orion came into my life after a poor experience with a Husky rescue in my area. I would always try to adopt over a breeder anytime. However, the rescue I reached out to refused to adopt to me after having raised a husky, because I am employed. Happy to share that experience. Orion was picked out for me by a reputable breeder when my first husky Dakota passed. I have experience.
Orion came out of the gates firing!! Unfortunately he suffered from Cryptorchidism. He was neutered at 6 months. I personally like to wait for 1 year. He then suffered his first ever seizure in June of 2024. Scared my mom to death. Since then he has experienced several seizures and now on a treatment plan. We have recently learned and can confirm based on lab work he has stage 2 kidney failure.
Orion is only 3 years old. Has a lot of life left and will do what I can on a single income to support his medical needs. Between seizures and now learning of kidney failure all I can think of dollar $$. We all want to take care of and give. We don't always expect or plan the worse. I do have pet insurance for my 3 dogs but it requires an upfront cost with reimbursement to follow upon approval.
I personally filed for bankruptcy in 2024. This limits my abilities to apply for care credit or other means to take care of emergency expenses for my pets. I am a single income home trying to take on and care for 3 pets.
