Hi everyone. My Oscar is a 13 year old Shih Tzu who is my everything. He had always had issues with his eyes, just not as bad as they are now. In the past, I was able to pay for veterinary visits myself. Things changed drastically in 2022 when my husband suddenly passed away at 51 from a massive stroke. Everything went downhill from there.

Generally, Oscar is healthy. His eyes have always been his issue. At the moment Oscar needs surgery to have his eyes removed. He was diagnosed with cataracts. The Dr said he is in constant pain daily. It's like having a 24/7 migraine. He's on drops and pain meds, but he's still trembling in pain. He receives care at Pontchatrain Animal Hospital in Slidell La.

I've been Oscar's Mom since day 1. I actually delivered the litter of puppies he came from. Until recently, Oscar was a firecracker even though he was the runt. He loves his toys, running and jumping around, barking at anything he sees or hears and most of all he loves me unconditionally. He has been my biggest support system thru many terrible events in my life. He is has the sweetest temperament

My husband passed away suddenly, then I lost everything in a fire. My health has also been bad. I had to quit working because of multiple major health issues. I had to apply for disability. Your help would allow me to have more time with my baby and I would appreciate that.
