About this campaign

Alec and I rescued Oscar from a feral cat colony of 30 living outside. We got him one year into our relationships and he has been a staple in our lives since. He has been in 3 different homes and two different states with us! I had moved to Tulsa to become a zookeeper while Alec was waiting out our lease with Oscar when things took a turn for the worse.

After 4 different vets being unable to tell us whats going on or misleading us, we met with Dr. Pierce at Island Life Animal Hospital. After an echo and CT he was diagnosed with restrictive pericarditis, a heart condition that can be resolved with surgery. This surgery could allow Oscar to live out the rest of his life normally!

Oscar is the most special cat, he loves snuggling on his dad, Alec. Loves cat tv and watching the lizards outside. His favorite toys are zipties and uncooked spaghetti noodles, he has been a constant in our lives and we are fighting hard he stays that way.

Things have been exponentially harder with myself relocating to start a new job, we have been to 4 different vets since July and obviously those rack up an expense. This surgery could and will save his life and he will be able to live normally again.
