My senior year of high-school, my art teacher, Mrs. Fitzwater, asked the class if any of us could take in a stray kitten she had found, as she had 12 cats already. He was living in a broken down building next to her house and when I went to look for him I came across a very spunky little black kitten. I loved him immediately and named him Oscar.

When he was young he was extremely playful and loved to take his toys into the bathtub to play, he would be running circles in there all day, one of the most playful cats I've ever had. As he got older he became one of the most cuddly cats I've ever had. Always wanting love from mom and any of her friends. He is a lover for sure. He loves to head butt me and rub his face on my face.

Now that he is older he carries his ball in his mouth, running through the house meowing and being adorable. He loves to have me hold paws with him. He is perfect. Oscar has always been there for me through everything. Always comes to me if I am crying, always wants to be with me. We've been through all of my adult life together. I love him more than words can express and our bond is so strong.

Oscar was diagnosed with histoplasmosis in October. A severe fungal infection in his lungs. He is having a hard time and they prescribed the cheaper meds with a way lower success rate, as I cannot afford the more expensive medication. This disease can be cured with proper care, but takes months to cure. Dr O at El paso vet has been trying to work with me on the bill, but I need help to save him!
