Othello is a 18 year old American Shorthair in Quakertown , PA, who needs $2,000 for MRI.

I first met Othello's mother who was a feral cat outside our house rental in Pipersville who had her 3-4 kittens, then got wounded & never saw her again. My neighbors didn't like cats had Othello locked in his garage & I called the SPCA on them. The next day the SPCA said there was a black & white kitten at Durham Vet that they rescued. I went and picked him up that day may 2006

Othello is now 18. I have been taking excellent care of all these years. This cat has never been sick. I always kept up with his check ups, vaccinations, bloodwork and teeth cleanings. He has all his teeth at 18 Grade 2. . the past few months Othello was struggling to walk due to arthritis. I started the Solensia injections, after the 3rd shot his walking didn't improve. I then had X-rays done.

This is my little buddy and I Love him with all my heart. I just want to know what is causing his lack of coordination/balance and help him to walk better. His X-rays showed no abnormalities other than his arthritis. I took him to Metro to specialist in Neurology and he didn't have a stroke nor has Vestibular disease. He was put on a Steroid & antibiotic with little affect. H e needs an MRI

This was totally unexpected. He is very healthy other than not being able to keep his balance while walking. He is eating & drinking. He is not lethargic, is not having any seizures, convulsions or vomiting. alert aware and is determined to live. The MRI costs $3-$4000.00
