About this campaign

Oh Otis, my elevator cat... About 8 years ago Nana found a feisty little kitten in a tree and asked if I would want him. Little did I know this spunky guy would change my life. From middle school, to high school and now college he has been one of my main anxiety supports.

Otis has developed a buildup of fluid around his lungs. It has been drained 2x, but unfortunately returned after the first time. When the fluid is not there he is stable, labs are good and he is happy.
After a visit to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialist. He now needs an ultrasounc to help confirm the suspected diagnosis, which may require surgery. The hard part is giving up when he could be saved.

Most of you know I've dealt with anxiety since about 3rd grade. I choose to cope without medication, and this sweet boy has always been a big part of that. He's been there through so many panic attacks, always knowing when I need him. He loves snacks, talks all the time, loves water, listens to his name, and scratches at the door to go out. He means more to me than I know how to express.

The vet told us last night that more testing will be around $3k, and the surgery he'll likely need is about $6k. I'm not ready to say goodbye, but I'm running out of options. I know this is a lot to ask, but I couldn't try nothing. Anything would help.
