About this campaign

Ozzy was born August 27th, 2020 to a friend of a friend's dog Gigi . His momma had 8 pups. My daughter begged me to bring him home so she can take care of him.. he came home with us on Friday... to "stay the night." He's an absolute mess of love, barks, nibbles and poop. My 19 year old daughter is a fan of classic rock and picked the name Ozzy.

Ozzy sleeps just above my daughters head. When she's working late at night, he will sleep above my head. We have a 9yr old cat, Whittle, and she doesn't like people, she barely tolerates us. Ozzy doesn't care that Whittle has a bad attitude and when Whittle walks on the floor, all you see is his bouncy booty chasing her down.

I am a single parent, my 2 daughters graduated high school and are attending City College. I also have a 12 year old son. I am employed, but I cannot afford this surgery. With the surgery, Ozzy will have a normal life span... without it, his heart will fail.

Ozzy came home to us on a Friday. We made him an appointment for a physical and first round of vaccines on Sunday. During the physical the doctor found that Ozzy has a heart murmur 'on both sides.' I found a cardiologist 3.5 hours away who could get Ozzy in the following week. When the EKG was completed the doctor confirmed that Ozzy has a tiny hole in his heart that needs surgery to repair.

Ozzy is full of joy and brings happiness to my family. He is full of kisses, hugs, wiggles and barks when he wakes up. My kids are not little anymore and I didn't realize there was something missing from our home. There is an endless amount of happiness and love a dog brings to a family. We are lucky to have him.
