Paco is a 13-year-old Chihuahua Jack Russel Terrier Mix in Ontario, CA, who needs $1,911 for Dental Surgery.

Paco is about 13 years old. He came to me at about 6 years old from a friend who could no longer care for him and her other dog, due to some of his negative behaviors, and was going to take him to a shelter. Paco has come a long way, even lives with 3 cats a varying ages who he likes to chase, but never hurt.

He has two beds in the living room and sleep in either depending on where I am. At night, he sleeps on a pillow ont he floor as jumping from the bed is harder for him now. He has started to sleep longer in his older age, and no longer follows me everywhere I go. He still loves to get pets and place chase, but never figured out fetch.

I was lucky enough to keep my jobs during COVID, but took a 43% cut in my main income as a Behavioral Therapist, which is made worse since I am the main bread winner. I have been able to keep bills current, but not much more than that and want the best for my little old man.

Recently he has begun to have Grand Mal seizures; convulsing , drooling, whining and scratching himself until held down. It was very scary, and after blood test that thankfully came back clear, he has been given medicine which will hopefully help. During his last visit, his vets strongly recommended dental work and wart removal due to infection and scratching that was constantly needing cleaning.

Paco is super silly, often galloping like a horse, getting partially into a bush to pee on it and barks at my husband any chance he gets! He hates to have his nails cut and tolerates baths, but lets me know he does not approve with looks and backing away. After a bath, he lets me hold him in a towel and cuddle as he dry's off.
