About this campaign

Over five years ago we rescued Paddington, a mixed corgi. He was from a rescue shelter and was of medium age when we gave him a home. My daughters put together a PowerPoint presentation to ask us to get a dog. It was a good presentation! So we went to the shelter and he was the only dog not barking. The girls fell in love with our dog.

He is so friendly and everyone who interacts with him, loves him. Other dog owners joke and call him the dog whisperer because he himself gets along with other dogs so well. We have four daughters and the dog has a special place in their hearts. They adore him. And they look forward to hopefully more years with their best buddy.

He’s special because although he does not love to play fetch, he will melt your heart with his affectionate snuggling and overall desire to be liked. He loves to get walks too. And we joke that although he has had some health issues, he always is ready for his walks. He’s just a mellow, serene and kind dog.

Paddington has had stomach and digestive issues since we got him. But now he has lump on his stomach that the doctor said needed a biopsy and possibly surgery. The doctor also mentioned that he strongly needed a mouth cleaning that was extensive. We just had the mouth cleaning three years ago and they are urging us (because of the bacteria) to perform another one.

This sudden unexpected expense is just hard right now with the holidays and having four kids. More, we just paid the Vet $400 because he was having issues with his ear. Getting the biopsy and possibly surgery for our dog would mean that we have a happier and healthier dog.
