About this campaign
Hi everyone..I can honestly say im not pleased to be back, but things are going pretty well for Palmer, since he first appeared on Waggle.org. We started treatment, with medications to tone down the spread of his lympoma, (no chemo, no radiation, woo-hoo), and its encouraging his good his appetite, has been, and activity level is up.
I know this is a temporary state, that the reality is just down the road, but I also stress, neither his vet or I, believe he's there, in discomfort or pain. Id to keep him here, in this condition, as long as I can, and Im hoping there is support from my friends and neighbors to help. Truly, my sincere gratitude to those of you that got us thru round one.
I wouldnt say my dog is special, he was puppy with gold colored eyes, who slept all the time. Definitely, the dog for me. Course, all that changed as he grew older...his eyes colored changed to brown and he runs circles long after ive gone to sit down...or, rather he used to. It is heartbreaking to think of life without him.
I am most grateful that the Vicaya/Prada vets, and Dr. Monte stepped in to take over Palmer's care, and the swollen glands in his throat have gone way down, allowing him to eat, without difficulty swallowing. Im hoping the other lymph nodes in his body follows soon. The meds seem to work well at this, and might give us a couple more years together
The pandemic has been hard, but my household started taking hits long before. heart failure dropped my two income household to one income. Ive never asked for food stamps, or government assistance , but this is different. Putting him down, because i cant afford to help is notanoption
