About this campaign
At Castaway Critters rescue, love and dedication run deep for their animals. But as of lately, it has been one of the hardest they’ve ever faced. It started when a rescued litter of orange kittens unknowingly brought in Feline Panleukopenia—also known as feline distemper—a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease, especially dangerous to kittens.
At the same time, a group of black-and-white kittens arrived battling upper respiratory infections. Quickly, the rescue was in crisis, and the disease began to spread. The caretakers refused to give up. For 72 straight hours, they stayed awake, administering subcutaneous fluids, medications, and round-the-clock care, desperately trying to save every single life.
Tragically, a few preciou kittens that were just brought in didn’t make it—but there are still others fighting to survive. Now, Castaway Critters is facing mounting medical bills for treatments, supplies, and ongoing care. These kittens are relying on us—on you—to keep fighting alongside them.
Will you help give them a chance? Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward life-saving medicine, fluids, and veterinary care. Their survival depends on what we do today. Castaway Critters is incredibly grateful for your ongoing care and support.
Update 10/31/25 Thanks to your continued support, Castaway Critters has been able to get the proper treatments and medications to take care of their kitties. And they are all recovering beautifully!
