About this campaign
My sweet Pastry was adopted in 2023 at 2 years old. From my knowledge she was a stray cat in Taunton before she ended up in Boston. I adopted her with someone who I considered a friend and she lived at her apartment for a bit of time. Unfortunately this friend assaulted me and was not taking good care of Pastry, so she came with me. She now lives in an apartment with 3 amazing roommates and me.
Pastry has a bad case periodontal disease and needs to have 5-7 teeth taken out. She previously had the same number of teeth taken out last year and the total cost was 1.6k. I’ve received a quote for this new extraction and it’s going to cost about 3.5k-5k. All of her vet appointments are done at the Boston Veterinary Society.
Pastry is the sweetest cat I’ve ever known. She’s a bit of a scaredy cat around new faces but she eventually warms up to everyone. She’s very much a lap cat especially when there’s a space heater involved. I also don’t think she even knows how to hiss, she’s never been aggressive what so ever. All she wants is to be loved and more importantly fed.
I am a college student in Boston working 2 jobs to make it by and to pay off student loans. To be frank, I was expecting a 2k max cost for this upcoming extraction and not anywhere near 5k. I would really appreciate any kind of help for pastry’s dental bill.
