Patsy Jo is an 8-year-old Papillon in San Antonio, TX, who needs $1,900 for a hip displacement surgery.

Patsy has been in our life since she was born. Her mother was our beloved dog and put her in my hands moments after she was born. She has been a vital part of our family since that precious moment. She grew with our children and is extremely sweet, loving and protective. Watching her learn and grow with our children makes her so very special to us.

Patsys always happy to see all of us. She spends her day playing and being loved on. She provides emotional support when any of us are not feeling well or feeling sad. She has helped us through deep loss such as the loss of my mother last year and my father 3 years prior. She is such an important part of our family we can’t imagine life without her in it!

Sadly we have no emergency fund it was wiped out with her diagnosis. We currently make enough to pay major bills and provide food for the household. It would mean the world to us for our precious baby to be back to her healthy happy self.

Patsy is suffering from a dislocated hip. Her right hip is completely displaced. VCA Becker Animal Hospital’s Dr. Daniel Arrington’s diagnosis is that she will need surgery. They will need to administer anesthesia and she will need a sling after surgery. Her prognosis is a full recovery after surgery.

When Patsy is happy and wants extra pets or cuddles she lays on her back and does what we call praying hands. She puts her paws together and waves them at us while giving us her precious doggie smile. When she is getting a special treat she will dance on her back feet in circles without being commanded.
