Patty is a 20 year old Quarter Horse in Liberty, SC, who needs $2,500 for Respiratory Infection and Malnourishment.

Patty was dumped at an auction house, which unfortunately, for many horses, means they will end up being sold to a slaughterhouse. She had been starved and neglected for many months, if not more. When Hasty's Haven came across Patty, they knew they had to step in.

Hasty's Haven quickly got Patty to the vet since she obviously has extremely poor health. She has developed a severe upper respiratory infection, which is very common in horses running through auction. The URI has put her in critical condition since her 20-year-old body is already so weak. On top of all of this, she is producing milk, indicating she was recently pregnant.

Despite the horrible condition Patty is in, she very clearly indicates that she is mentally prepared to fight. She continues to eat well and rejoices in the care and love that Hasty's Haven has to offer. She continues to unwind each day, as it fully sinks in that she is finally in a safe place.
