Three-year-old Paulie should be chasing toys, wiggling with excitement, and living life like the playful pup he is. Instead, this sweet American Staffordshire Terrier is battling a painful and potentially fatal diagnosis: heartworm disease.

Heartworm isn’t just dangerous — it’s incredibly hard on a dog’s body. Without treatment, it progressively damages the heart and lungs, making it harder to breathe, move, and ultimately survive. Paulie urgently needs life-saving Immiticide injections, but the cost of treatment is overwhelming: $3,244. Thankfully, there is hope. Paws 4 A Cure has generously provided a $400 grant, but Paulie’s family still needs to raise $2,844 to move forward with his treatment. Paulie’s dad shared just how much this little survivor means to him:
