Paxton is a 7 year old American Akita in Bellingham, WA, who needs $1,000 for Hematoma, Step-Cains Surgery, and Medication.

I first met Paxton while down in TX for a year. I had talked to friends and family about getting a dog after 20 years since my last one passed. I was inspired of the story of Hachiko and wanted that bond again and in August 2017, I met Paxton for the first time as a puppy and fell in love with him and raised him myself.

Paxton was a relatively healthy puppy, but after 5 years, some small health scares but nothing too serious. At age 6 he got a hematoma in his right ear. And now almost a week from his birthday..he has been acting lethargic, refusing to play and eat.. preferring to sleep and take constant breaks during our walks. And he goes to NW Veterinary Blood Bank & Hospital

I love my good boy, we lived going on the local trails and taking hikes or just cuddle up on those rainy days! He is my rock and helps comfort me when my depression hits me hard. Winter is his favorite time of the year! Doesn't matter if it's just a frost or 3 feet if snow, he's in it for the whole day if he can!

Work has been on such a snails pace, sales have been in decline for two years with no signs of picking up anytime soon. I've also had to do sudden repairs on my car that has set me back + plus I'm still paying off his hematoma surgery. I've been stretched so thin, I'm at a loss
