About this campaign
PB is a sweet 3-year-old American Shorthair cat from California who is currently fighting for his life after suffering a painful urinary blockage, a medical emergency that can quickly become fatal if not treated.
PB’s mom found him as a tiny runt of a litter left outside without his mother. What many people jokingly call the “cat distribution system” brought them together—but to her, it felt like fate. From that moment on, PB became her constant companion: following her from room to room, sleeping beside her while she studies, and filling her life with quiet love and comfort.
Recently, PB suddenly began hiding, crying out in pain, and repeatedly trying to use the litter box but couldn’t urinate. His mom rushed him to the emergency veterinarian, where he was diagnosed with a life-threatening urethral obstruction.
PB required immediate emergency treatment, including sedation, catheterization to relieve the blockage, bladder flushing, IV fluids, and hospitalization. He must remain under close medical supervision while veterinarians monitor his bladder function and work to prevent another dangerous blockage.
The total cost of PB’s emergency care and ongoing treatment is $7,471.27. Paws 4 A Cure has generously provided a $400 grant, but PB’s mom still needs to raise $4,000 to cover the remaining medical costs and continue his lifesaving care.
PB’s veterinarian is optimistic that with proper treatment and monitoring, he can make a full recovery. But he needs help to get there.
PB isn’t just a pet—he’s a best friend, a source of comfort, and a beloved member of his family.
Your donation will help ensure PB can continue receiving the care he needs to recover and return home where he belongs. Every contribution—no matter the size—brings him one step closer to healing.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing PB’s story can make a life-saving difference. Together, we can help PB get the second chance he deserves
