Peanut is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Jacksonville, NC, who needs $1,431 for Mammary Tumor Removal w/ OHE Xrays, Anesthesia.

Peanut came to our lives 6.5yrs ago when we found a post to rehome her. Her family was busy and she developed nervous chewing so had been kept in the bathroom while the the couple was at work. Peanut aka Peana or Peanie easily became the center of our family's world from the now adult children randomly inserting her name into songs or being the matriarch keeping her younger fur siblings in line.

Peanut was diagnosed with mammary carcinoma (breast cancer) at Academy Animal Hospital and we are looking for help with her surgery which will include getting her spayed to reduce the risks of it returning.

Peanut has been a huge part of our lives. Spending the first year of her life isolated did not discourage her. She is so in tune with the family. She gets excited to hear the adult kids when they call she cuddles when she knows someone is having a rough day and she will let her fur siblings Charmy and Lady know when they are getting too rowdy. She is a great dane in a small chiweenie body.

Two days after Peanut's diagnosis we received notice that my husband's building would be closed suddenly and he would be without his job and we are now on just one income. Her surgery cost is really hard given we are also working against the clock with the tumor growth.
