Peanut is a 11-year-old Boxer in New River, AZ, who needs $800 for Neuter with Scrotal Ablation.

Our family adopted Peanut when he was eight years old, and in our time with him, we’ve grown to wish we had known him forever. There is no one he doesn’t give a chance to become his friend. He literally cannot meet enough people. He is even more in love with dogs, and even at 11, he plays with puppies - but his latest girlfriend, Lola, is 5.

Peanut has the world’s healthiest appetite, and even without so much as an Apple watch, he knows exactly when lunch and dinner are supposed to be served. If I do not move as quickly as he’d like to plate his meals, he leans back his head and howls. He loves to play with our 2 year old Corgi, and yes, he can keep up with her.

We’ve been hit hard with vet bills in the last year. Our Bernese/Border Collie had lymphoma; our Corgi had Valley Fever, and our cat had to have 7 teeth removed, as well as a colon procedure. Plus, we are fostering a homeless black cat because no one else would take him.

Peanut just received a clean bill of health a month ago, but just this week, we found a lump on his scrotum (we adopted him at age 8 un-neutered). This has proven to be a mast cell, which if removed along with the scrotum should give a good prognosis and possible total cure. Especially since we caught it so quickly. He needs to be neutered with a scrotal ablation, and our surgeon is the best.

Peanut is a very skilled tap dancer, and will perform whenever we come home, or at meal time, or just to say hello. He is the most excellent companion to our family, and we each have a bed for him in our rooms. He makes his rounds daily, and we all hope to get as much Peanut time as we possibly can.
