Peanut is a 12-year-old Terrier Mix in Tacoma, WA, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery.

Our sweet 6lb old lady puppy Peanut came to us as a foster in December of 2021, after her original owner passed away leaving her and 3 other dogs without a home. Luckily for them the amazing Valhalla pet rescue took them in and found them all loving homes. When we received her, almost instantly we knew that we had failed. Foster failed that is and that Peanut would be staying with us forever!

Peanut joined us with her sweet sister Fern (a 6lb chihuahua). They immediately fit in with our pack! Four lovable lemons that we have also rescued throughout the years. We unfortunately lost our oldest, Lucy, in July to kidney disease. Our house might sound hectic, but really, it's quit chill around here. Everyone's favorite activity seems to be napping. Peanut INSISTS that my lap be her bed!

Peanut has us laughing all day long with her silly little personality! She has this adorable little way of running that looks like a toddler just finally getting the hang of walking. Her hair has a mind of its own often leaving her looking like a mad scientist, and don't even get me started on her adorable little blep! One of her favorite things to do is lick Jason's bald head, Lol!

When we got Peanut it was obvious that she had some health concerns that we needed to address, so we have slowly been treating all of her ailments. We have been on a waiting list to see a specialist for her teeth at Blue Pearl Hospital. The news was pretty heartbreaking. She has severe periodontal disease which is causing her a lot of pain. ALL of her teeth need pulled with reconstructive surgery.

We exhausted all our emergency funds and maxed out our credit this last year after Jason hurt his hand and was unable to work for most of the year. The estimate for her surgery is $4,700. It would mean the world to us to have the funds to get her feeling better.
