Peanut was a stray cat when I found him in my apartment complex. It took a lot of time to gain his trust and to get him to let me pet him. One night in the middle of a monsoon I grew worried because of how windy and rainy it was. I ran out to find him. I found him hunched in a staircase on his way to my door. I scooped him up and brought him inside where he spent the night curled into my arm. The next day he escaped. I searched for him for a bout a month and was beginning to give up. He was picked up by a shelter who happened to do adoption events at where I work. They brought him in and I was ecstatic to see him. He started crying and as soon as I picked him up he stopped.
