Pearl is a 5 month old Havanese in Elkhart, IN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to close Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA).

Pearl is a rescue puppy. Having to start supposedly grade 4 heart murmurs. Almost 5 months old. Just a baby, I have had her and then also took in her sister, both since beginning of November. Pearl loves her sister Mabel. They are 2 peas in a pod so to say, And they are absolutely little love bugs. Both of them having heart issues.

Took Pearl and Mabel to the veterinarian cardiologist at NIVES, Fort Wayne, IN. After echocardiograms both were diagnosed with grade 5 heart murmurs. Pearl was put on heart meds. Both needing heart surgery. Without it their prognosis is grim- they probably won’t live to see their first birthday. But if they have the heart surgery to fix the issue they can go on to live happy full lives.

Pearl and Mabel are just sweeties and have touched my life so much already in the weeks they have become members of my family. I want to give them a full life. They love everybody and are just babies. Despite their heart issues, They are always happy and make me and everyone they meet smile. They love cuddles, playing, new experiences. Even eating the snow. They go for car rides with us too.

Facing 2 heart surgeries puppies at one time is something we weren’t financially planning on, and broke my heart to hear the diagnosis, but to be able to give my girls their lives to live to the fullest and be able to watch them grow up would mean everything.
