Pearl is an amazing one year old German Shepard that was rescued from an abusive situation. Our neighbor was getting rid of her and we decided to adopt this sweet girl into our family.

Last night, Pearl was running through the woods when her foot fell in a hole. That accident ended up breaking the femur bone in her leg. It was such a serious break (diagonal break) that all of the local veterinarian clinics and hospitals nearby wanted to amputate her leg instead of trying to fix the bone.

Pearl is a cheerful, fun, loving little girl that loves her family. She is a protector of young children and loves to play with her sister Hazel. She plays fetch and loves to ride in the car.

We received estimates from $7,000 to $10,000 to fix the bone. We finally found a veterinary surgeon 2 hours away that would perform the same surgery for $5,000.
