About this campaign

Pebble has been let down by humans many times in his short life - all leading to a horrific accident that shattered his leg. Pebble was hit by a car while his family watched in horror. The driver yelled “it’s just a dog” and drove off. Pebble was unable to walk on his front legs. His family took him to a local hospital. His family left him, declining to pay medical treatment or for xrays.

The owners took Pebble home, not allowing us to take him for care, then contacted us the next day, when his pain meds had worn off. We had Pebble admitted to Eclipse hospital, where he was stabilized and finally given pain relief. Pebble’s front right leg was shattered, the humerus badly broken with fragments all around the elbow. An orthopedist worked on his leg for hours, but could not save it

Pebble is now an adorable tripod. He is good with all animals and children. Pebble has been released into foster and is truly a new dog! Happy, carefree and enjoying SO much adoration – his life is completely different than it was just days ago, when he lay in pain, with no hope in sight. He is enjoying long walks and lots of love with his foster mom!

Pebble has been through too much in his short life – passed through owners, struck by a car, denied medical care, then taken home to suffer when help had come. But, Pebble is now under our care - please help us cover his medical expenses so we can continue our work.
