Pebbles came into our life about 6 years ago completely by accident, or I like to say fate, I was supposed to be her hooman. I rescued her from a man who gave me ten minutes to show up at a Walmart parking lot with $300 or a riding lawn mower or he was going to shoot her, yes shoot her; it was obvious she was abused, starved and never had a day of love in her life. With me that would change.

Spoiled beyond belief, she picked up on my medical issues and jumped into action, she never leaves my side, she knows if my blood sugar drops, if I’m getting redact to panic and diverts me, she’s glued to my hip. Sleeps with me, and goes everywhere with me. I may have rescued her, but she saved me.

Since Covid hit my husbands hours have been slashed $300+ a week, mortgage has gone up $200/month, electric has doubled, and it has simply dwindled all our savings down to nothing and I’m on a fixed disability income.

Pebbles presented today with limited mobility in her hind region, she could still wag her tail and at times manage to stand for a minute long enough to relieve herself, we know IVDD is common amount doxies and have dreaded this very diagnosis since making her family but now we need to help her! We’ve chosen conservative treatment for now using animal medical center in Murfreeboro Tn.

She has these moments when she gets the “zoomies “ and is as fast as lightening racing everywhere, she loves her rainbow pillow my granddaughter gave her, but food woah- that’s where she performs. She dances like a circus dog to get her food and there is no stopping her from it. She twirls, dances and I’ve even caught the occasional flip (which we do not encourage). She is the best friend anybody.
