About this campaign
We adopted Pele from a rescue when he was just 5 months old. The moment we saw him, we knew he was the one. He had been a sick little kitten, so the rescue cared for him a bit longer and nursed him back to health before he finally came home with us.
Pele injured himself after running across the house and jumping onto his cat tree. He began limping immediately and avoided putting weight on his leg. X-rays confirmed a femur fracture that requires a surgery call femoral head ostectomy. Our veterinarian at Twin Pines Animal Hospital referred us to the Animal Surgical & Orthopedic Center, where Pele has a consultation on 9/17
Pele is a the sweetest boy, he loves to curl up on our chests for snuggles and has the loudest purr. He has two kitty companions that he absolutely adores, and the three of them are inseparable. They spend their days running, playing, and gently pestering one another—true best friends who bring endless joy to each other.
We just lost our yorkie in July, she went though a major medical battle before she passed, it drained us financially. We are still grieving that loss and now we are facing another battle with Pele. We are needing some help to get through the heaviness of it all.
