PELLA is a 7 year old Dachshund in Louisville, KY, who needs $1,000 for Removal of Massive Breast Tumor.

I rescued Pella from a humane society. Our bond was instant. She has shown such gratitude to me by always being so kind, caring & compassionate. They told me she had been found out on a desolate country road that has no houses or businesses anywhere within 45 mins drive. They said apparently she had been dumped out there and she was still a baby. Someone going from town to town found her.

Pella started having a small tumor on her belly that as time has passed has gotten very very much larger very rapidly. I thought it was a lipoma. Recently it has gotten so large that when she walks it drags the ground. Blue cross animal hospital said it's a breast tumor that can be removed and she would be perfectly fine after...as long as it's removed

She survived being dumped in the middle of nowhere to then come to me.Once I became overcome by major depression disorder &anxiety, she very easily jumped into the role of caring for me. So much so my psychiatrist &therapist both filled out paperwork for her to be my support dog. She is that way for absolutely anyone who needs her. My apt bldg is mostly seniors who always ask for her to visit them

I am physically and mentally disabled &only earn $1080 a month. After rent it's extremely hard for me to survive &even afford food. Pella is so critical to my well-being it is gutting me that I am unable to afford to make her well when it would only take one surgery.
